Yes. When you open a protected PDF, the tool shows a password prompt. The password is used locally to decrypt the file; it is never sent to any server.
When you click a signature field, a modal opens with three options: Draw (use your mouse or finger), Type (renders your name in a signature-style font), or Upload (use an existing signature image). The result is embedded into the PDF on download.
Flatten converts all interactive form fields into static, non-editable content in the PDF. This is useful for archiving completed forms or sending documents that should not be altered. You can also use our dedicated Flatten PDF tool on an already-filled form.
