The camera stream is accessed through the browser's MediaDevices.getUserMedia() API — no app download required. Edge detection uses HTML5 Canvas and image processing in JavaScript to identify the document boundary and apply a perspective correction transform, resulting in a straight, clean document image even when photographed at an angle.
The corrected image is then passed to pdf-lib to embed it as a PDF page. For multi-page documents, capture each page individually and all pages combine into a single multi-page PDF automatically.
